Bolivar Elementary School students and teachers had an exciting homecoming week filled with letter-writing and poster-making in preparation for Bolivar Central’s big game. Posters and balloons appeared on the stadium fence, and stacks of encouraging letters and drawings were delivered to the Tiger football players before Friday arrived. Everyone dressed in their best Tiger spirit gear Friday and lined the sides of Nuckolls Road for the annual homecoming motorcade. Painted faces smiled up as the decorated cars and trailers filled with band members and athletes rolled by. BES’s parade posters were taken to the stadium prior to the game and hung on the inside of the fences. The guys gave a great performance that night, defeating Fayette-Ware’s team 28-18. We were so, so excited for them, and we hope we helped them to rise to the challenge in some small way. We love our BCHS Tigers, and will continue to support them in any way that we can. Good job, guys! We knew you could do it!
